Another weekend is in the books. This one was a bigger one, too.

The return of college football, and Labor Day which meant a long weekend for mom.

(Unfortunately, dad had to work on Saturday, and Monday, but we soaked up every bit of Sunday!)

 After a quick run to Target for a few essentials, we were home and rooting on the

Wolverines in the first game of the season. Touchdown! Go Blue!

Instead of photographing Sunday's events we enjoyed them.

Daddy worked on a project for Noelle and her little friends,

while we (Nono and me) got some chores done, watched a chick flick, and relaxed indoors. 

 Monday started with a walk to Starbucks.

Night terrors have started, and "they" must have known that mom didn't work the next day.

Baby girl and I had lots of sleepy snuggles (on the couch, almost all night,) so coffee for mom was a necessity!

 During Nono's morning nap I finished sewing her birthday banner.

Now all that's left is some stenciling, and a final once over ironing.

This has inspired me to possibly make a holiday banner.

I'm enjoying the whimsical touch it adds to the apartment. We'll see!

 Our next door neighbor's Great Neice was over for a family bbq,

so before all of their company arrived, we had a little play time.

It was so cute. They're just a month apart in age, so were perfect for each other!

Noelle explored the toy cabinet. 

 Tried on some shoes for fall. Baby's first Stuart Weitzmans, compliments of Aunt Erica!

And, continued her musical education with Glastonbury 2013. Thank you, Palladia!

Well, I certainly intended to post last week more than I did. I guess getting back into my blogging routine will take a bit more than just saying "I'm back." So here we are again with another weekend in review!

Our weekend started on Friday, playing with Halas in the yard, and prepping for some Bears pre-season football. We're bear crawling a lot these days.

On Saturday, since we're going into a week of 80+ temperatures, I decided it was time to shorten the straps on this romper. It's never fit right, and the hot forecast was the perfect motivator.

We kept the sewing machine warm and made a Halloween bow for a friend!

Noelle all of a sudden decided to start walking with her walker. So much fun!

I started working on Noelle's birthday banner. This is a super easy project. Once I've finished, and figured out all of the tricks and my tips, I'll post about this one! 

And...Cammy got a hole in one!!! She rocks!!!

And...we're back! After a week's vacation, and another week to adjust to being back home and on a "schedule" it's time for a blog update. I thought, why not pick up right where I typically would after the weekend? Time for another weekend in review!

Saturday was really nice. Haircut for mom, and a play date with Uncle Brian for Noelle. We all had lunch together afterwards, and then took naps (Noelle and me, Brian might have too, but I didn't ask). Then, we lounged around with Halas, did some laundry and waited anxiously for dad to get home from work.

On Sunday we enjoyed a relaxing morning with a couple quick trips to the store before bbqing with friends. It had been much too long, and we had so much to catch up on, I didn't even touch my phone to take some photos.

Hi Friends! How was your weekend? Ours was exhausting. Nice, but exhausting. You see, a baby with a cold (a pretty bad one) is really not fun. But, things are looking up today, so I think it's all downhill from here - besides the fact that I now have a cold. Oh well, better me than baby Noelle.

Friday ended with a visit from Nene and Da after they got into town from Las Vegas.

Saturday rough. This was the peak of Noelle's cold. We started the day with a trip to Target to load up on anything that might kick the cold and cough. Thankfully, we ran into two other moms who gave me their advice on curing babies cold. Noelle napped as much as she wanted, didn't eat very much, but otherwise was very normal. Not fussy or seeming uncomfortable. She's such a tough chick! That afternoon we attended a birthday party for our next door neighbors daughter and son who are turning four and two. It's been so nice living in such a great neighborhood. We've made friends with all of our neighbors, and couldn't be luckier for everyone's welcoming attitude and willingness to help. Most importantly when we need a humidifier for Nono's room, and our next door "mom away from mom" came to the rescue with their vaporizer! Yay! We capped the evening with dinner where all of Nene and Da's friends melted over Noelle.

Sunday was lazy in the morning, and full of family in the afternoon. We went to the suburbs to relax by the lake and have lunch with family. The dogs played, we fed the swans (and Noelle) crackers, ate some watermelon, and enjoyed the beautiful day - until it down poured, and we headed home. Daddy enjoyed lots of play time with Noelle before bath and bed time.

Like I said, exhausting. Nice, but exhausting. And, on that note, I'm hitting the hay before 11 today, but will  leave you with this. Tonight I made, the best spinach Stromboli. No recipe, I created another meal. What's happening to me? I guess all of the Food Network I watch is finally paying off. Recipe to come soon - promise!

This weekend was perfect. Nothing too crazy. Just some errands, relaxing at home, and a bbq Sunday night to cap off a beautiful two days.

 We started the weekend playing with Halas in the backyard on Friday after work.

 On Saturday, I vacuumed (seriously, look at that face),

and had some coffee (the tears are what happened when I tried taking the cup away).

 Mom sunbathed while Nono napped (and daddy worked).

 And later we took a nap together. (I woke up first.)

Our plans on Sunday got a bit silly when I killed the car battery while installing Nono's new "big girl" car seat.

So, daddy spent half the morning fixing it while we ran around the house on our own.

 Then we took a nap because supervising a car battery install is exhausting.

 On Saturday we bbq'd with some friends, and ate some chips.

 Halas had a playmate over too. We were all exhausted by bed time.

Hi friends! Did everyone have a nice (hopefully long) holiday? We had a good fourth of July, that was rudely interrupted by a day of work, and then a nice weekend around the house. Here's a look-see for ya!

 We started the weekend by exploding a diaper in the car seat. This required a pit stop at Wallgreens because mom was unprepared, and thought we were just going to pick dad up at work, so didn't bring anything but a wallet. LESSON LEARNED!

 Saturday morning we snuggled in bed, and watched Friends.

 We swung on the swing for the first time after lunch. 

 And, capped the night with dinner down the street on the patio!

On Sunday we practiced standing, and cruising along the couch

which means trying to be friends with Halas. This is an improvement on his part :)

I don't have more photos from Sunday, but it included a quick Target run, then a stop at the market where Nono took a nap in the carrier. Mom and dad got to relax in the sun in the backyard even!

I have so much more to write about, but we'll save that for another day! 

The bug is in bed, the hubs is still workin' and dinner is cookin'.

Time to upload photos, and give some love to the blog after we were away for the weekend.

And, by away, I mean just away from the computer.
